Marline Miranda, born and raised in the Bronx, New York and currently living in Connecticut. Miranda has been a recipient of both the arts and music industry since high school where she performed in various musicals. Since then, Miranda has been performing and recording in various venues with diverse bands and as a soloist including, genres such as; Pop Rock, R&B, Top 40, Freestyle and Salsa.In 1992, Miranda recorded a commercial R&B song called Thinking of You, which was aired on KISS 95.7FM and other radio stations where it became one of the most requested songs in Connecticut. This song was also aired on Massachusetts radio stations and was also considered one of the top ten songs. As a result of the song, Miranda appeared on Telemundos television show called Adelante, which landed her a video on Channel 13 and an opening act for "La Condesa." During that time, Miranda also appeared in a Budweiser commercial while also performing as a lead and background vocalist for a Top 40 Band called C.U.E and performing also as both lead and background vocalist for her fathers Latin Salsa band.Miranda then formed a 2 girl group with her sister called MirandaMichelle. The two sisters recorded several freestyle songs and participated in various compilation recordings. As both a soloist and together with her sister, Miranda opened up for the following major artist including; Marc Anthony, Evelyn Champagne, Tracey Spencer, Tito Puente Jr., K-7, Lissette Melendez, Corina and many more.In 2003 Miranda recorded a rendition of freestyles 1980 song, Praying for an Angel, recorded on the compilation album called "The Evolution of Dance." This song was also considered one of the top ten requested songs in New York and Connecticut.In February 2007 Miranda put together a band with her very favorite musicians and great friends on TELEMUNDO for "La India" Miranda also participated with Ray De La paz and Liz as a chorista.In May 2007, Marline Miranda recently completed a a Masters degree on Marriage & Family Therapy, and after a long deserving break is focusing on completing her first Salsa album with her father Gilbert Lopez and Producer/best friend, Edwin Ramos from ER Music Productions. Miranda is working on enhancing her Salsa style by collaborating with her uncle, Salsa singer, Eddie "Temporal" Marrero, who is also on the 2006 single and soon will also be in the 2006 album. This maxi single is scheduled to be distributed in early 2006. There are two songs that will be included in the single, "Perfect Combination,"a Salsa rendition from the 1980's Stacey Lattisaw and Jhonny Gill recording, which has now been recorded by Marline Miranda featuring Grammy award winning Spanish Harlem Ochestra, vocalist "Ray De La Paz." A second single added as a bonus track is "Ahi Estare" beautifully written by talented writers Mr. Edward Figueroa and Edwin Ramos. Listeners will find that these songs will absolutely bring that old school Latin sensation back to the community of the Latin genre.
