Chino RodriguezChino Rodriguez, of Puerto Rican/Chinese descent, born in NYC February 2, 1949 in the late 60's Chino Rodriguez started his musical career with a local Brooklyn New York band by the name of Orchestra Dee Jay, that experience placed the spark that moved Chino through many large and small bands and companies within the music industry.Chino started his Orchestra in the early 70's and recorded two albums with Salsa Records entitled "Maestro De Kung-Fu" and "Si Te Vas Mi China" which sold Latin Gold recordings both produced by Larry Harlow of the Fania All-Stars and Producer of most of the Fania All-Star Albums. Chino Rodriguez y La Consagracion was nominated in the Latin NY Magazine's Award for best new band and had two hits from the second album. After working his band in the New York club circuit, Chino left the club scene and the music business and opened a successful computer company mid 80's.Chino returned to music, as Sr. Vice President and General Manager of Hidden Faces Records. After setting up the record label for it's owners and producing two projects for Hidden Faces, Chino moved on to start an artist management firm. Chino opened Chino Rodriguez Management a/k/a C.R.M. and Omni Latino Entertainment (Ole) in 1992-3, the firm recruited well known artists such as; Ismael Miranda, Giro, Joe Cuba, The LeBron Brothers, Nestor Sanchez, Angel Canales, Yomo Toro, Secreto, Spagga y La Raza, to name a few of the exclusive C.R.M. / Ole artists. Internationally and throughout the United States, C.R.M. / Ole, had successfully booked, the late Frankie Ruiz, Tito Rojas, Elvis Crespo Isidro Infante, El General, Larry Harlow, Ray Barretto, Johnny Pacheco, Descarga Boricua, Bobby Valentin, Latin Legends, Salsa Legends, Sancocho, Lalo Rodriguez, just to name a few. Chino was also responsible for Recording projects of Capitol/EMI Latin's "Naci para Cantar" by Lalo Rodriguez and ASEFRA Records "Cantar O No Cantar" by Ismael Miranda and Junior Gonzalez with 3 Hits by Jr. off that CD.Chino was a Casting Director for Telemundo's Buscando Bands Exec. Prod. Riddle-Wienstock. In 1998 he opened www.LatinMusicBooking.com an online booking agency for all Latin Artists. In 2001 he produced a Musimentary Film called “Tumba La Casaâ€.
