Top Quality Records - UNIVERSAL latino announces the take over of the release of their newest digital CD, "Quality / Calidad", by their newest artist. Son Inocentes. With veteran singer / rapper / r&b / meren-house / merengue / y salsa / with reggae / producer of Son Inocentes and the original member which started from Inocentes MC, FRESH.
"Son Inocentes" is the most innovative and talked about New York / Florida based Latin group to hit the United States since the beginning of the new millennium. The sensational musical group is taking the United States by storm with their unique street sounds mixture of rap, reggae, salsa, merengue, cumbia and bachata using all type of tropical instruments and rhythms including some of that old reggaeton we heard so much about and yet the distinctive new sound of street rhythm and tropical music characterizes the group has always been around since 1997.
That is when Juan Osoria "Fresh", who during his teenage years created the musical sensation group "Inocentes MC's" with hits like "Es muy triste", "Vamos a bailar" and "Me la pego con otra mujer" contributes and considers the key to his successful career.
Born in the Dominican Republic and moved to the United States when he was nine years old. His career began at the early age of ten, break dancing at schools talent show. Soon after, his love to perform in front of an audience led him to a successful musical career as a composer and singer of street rhythms. At the age of seventeen his talent was captured by an executive from the Miami based Caiman Records who signed Fresh and his friend Papote in summer of 1997 for the first record deal. One of the highlights of being with Caiman was performing at Midem 98 and also opening for such latin artist like Chichi Peralta one of Caiman’s top artist.
Aldo Marin President of Cutting Records made an offer to Fresh to join the line-up at Cutting, so Fresh signed with Cutting Records and recorded two CDs “Inocentes MC†and “Reggaeton Feverâ€. Fresh co-Produced and Produced with Victor Wyll and Henry Garcia in the Dominican Republic on the CD “Inocentes MCâ€.
These two albums earned "Fresh" and the group a trip to several awards and awards dominations that includes: "Premios Globo 2000" (Revelacion del Año (Best New Group of the Year)) which they won, Premios Ace 2000 (Revelacion del Año (Best New Group of the Year)) which they won as well. During the same year the group was dominated by Premio Lo Nuestro 2000 (Album del año (Album of the Year)). "Fresh's" highlight of his career was during his groups 2nd album as Inocentes MC's in 2002 title "Reggaeton Fever" which the group and "Fresh" collaborated with superstar artist like Fulanito, Trebol Clan, Las Guanabanas, Sir Speedy, Chavito y Tiguere, Sancocho, Rankin Stone and well known producers such as DJ Nelson, DJ Joe, DJ Reflex, DJ Lucho. These blend of artists and producers made them the winner of song of the year by Premios Ace for 2002 in the street rhythms category called "Vamo a bailar (Lets Dance)". “Vamo a bailar†was the first reggaeton that went on rotation on every Spanish radio station in 2002, and also positioning it self to the number one spot on billboard chart list, this earned a trip to Chicago as guess artist on the American Talk Show Jenny Jones, which also was the first time a Latino group was presented on an American Talk show as a Guest Performer. Opened for Millie Quesada – Washington DC – fancy ball.
Fresh now is working on his Fifth Album "Quality / Calidad". A witness to crime, drugs, and violence he and his brothers were able to stay away from the peer pressures that surrounded the youth of his neighborhood and chose music instead. In the months and years to come Son Inocentes will make a mark on the industry and will be a name to remember in the whole wide world!!
