Hey everyone this is Ty, lead singer of BDR, thanks for visiting our page. As you can see right now we don't have any music up on the myspace player, but we will as soon as we can get some good recordings done (which may take up to a year, but I promise we'll get it done!) But if you want to get a rough taste of what we sound like, check out the videos of us playing above. Sorry about the video quality, it was taken on a handheld camcorder so the sound isn't the best, but you can still get an idea for our passions in music, which leads us to a little bit of a history of Bow Down Regardless.
Bow Down Regardless is made up of four guys who love music, and also love making music for God. After all, he gave us the gift... why not give some of it back? You'll find a good deal of diversity in our music, partially because each band member (Jarod on drums, Andrew on lead guitar, Aaron on bass, and me on rhythm/vocals) has their own unique style. Another reason for this is that we do not want to become a band where songs just mix and meld together and it's hard to tell the difference. We want each song to be a unique experience for the listener, and we hope we succeed at that.
Bow Down Regardless started late-winter of 2007 when we got together (with Steven Sallak on bass) for Battle of the Bands. We really were only hoping to get to the second round, but we ended up being the judges top choice for the final round! Needless to say, that was an incredible experience. After that, there was so much support everywhere that we decided we'd keep writing music and stay together as a band, and since then (as of August, 2007) we've had 7 or 8 shows together, all of them being a ton of fun. We hope to keep pressing on in music for God, but it's going to be tough because Andrew and I are leaving for college, hence why recording is a difficult task at the moment. It's very hard for me because I love the guys so much and writing music with them is such a blast and we work so well together. I just hope that at some point next year we can get back together and keep writing and performing and maybe at some point if God wills it we can get signed on to a label.
Until then, though, we wait. We will wait and pray and see what God has in store for our music. Anyway, feel free to look around, listen to the music (again sorry about the bad sound quality).
Peace and God bless
Bow Down Regardless
