jodi's doorstep; A project of Lydia and Stefan van Maurik that has gone a little bit further then just a singer-songwriter initiative. 3 years ago they got married and since they're both very active in music making (Stefan plays in 'Satellite7' and 'The Spirit That Guides Us' and Lydia with 'Brown Feather Sparrow' and This Beautiful Mess) they decided to join their creative forces into 'jodi's doorstep. 2 years ago, in November they already started recording most of the songs during a western European tour with 'the spirit that guides us'. Armed with a portable pro-tool set and a bunch of quality microphones, Stefan and (friend) producer Rene de Vries used backstage rooms and other funny spaces of various clubs in Germany and The Netherlands to make a start of 12 songs to be recorded. Back home again Lydia -with good friend Remco van der Heide (Winterbirds)- completed the songs with her arrangements on keys guitars organs flute and of course her voice. How and when the record's going to be released is unsure but they'll keep you posted on that.
