Believeisadoubt don't do fashion statements. In their experience, energy is the most important, basic ingredient in music, and every song exhibits suspense, and especially, surprise.
The EP, On Bare Feet, is the result of the band’s hard work. This EP, with just four of their songs, gives the listener an example of what the audience can expect when they hear Believeisadoubt perform live. But, this is only a small sample of what they are all about as their music has so many variations. No two songs are alike. The basic ingredients are all there, but the recipe changes every time.
Believeisadoubt's music can best be described as energetic, refreshing rock, with powerful riffs. They may sound like an American band, but there are many twists that you won't hear anywhere else. However, the influence of bands such as "The Foo Fighters", "Incubus", "Dredg" and "A perfect Circle" with a smattering of "Tool" and "Porcupine Tree" can be detected.
The band's impressive CV is the result of hard work and determination. In December 2006 they reached an admirable third place in the final of the "Grolsch Grote Prijs" in The Netherlands. The jury rapport from this competition speaks of, "International potential", "Convincing and complicated compositions" and "is different from the rest". Over the last few years Believeisadoubt have played many acoustic as well as electric sets with most of their songs being suitable for both settings.
"Normally they pour Tequila, but tonight they poured honey" said Johannes de Boom from The Shavers after listening to an acoustic gig by Believeisadoubt.
