Stimulated by boyhood dreams and the prospect of ‘musical enlightment’ four friends from the Dutch coutryside pick up the guitars and drumsticks somewhere in 2001. On free afternoons and in weekends strings are stirred and drums are beaten in a small room, and quickly a musical unity is formed, which is complemented with an additional guitar player. A band is born.
At first the lion’s share of the repertoire consists of covers, but quickly also self written songs ring through the halls. After 3 years the band decides to split up and the band members part. But not for long. Soon they meet again, and the former members play together regularly on several occasions with several casts.
Early 2006 the plan is made to start a recording project where several musical ideas are developed. But soon the framework of being a studio act proves to be too small for the trio meanwhile, and they decide to start performing live as well. The result is Canadian Sunset…
The boys don’t feel bound to a specific style of music, but their work is a musical palette of emo/indie rock, pop and a touch of New wave. Their clear distinguished sound is characterised by compelling melodies, lead by fierce guitar sounds.
