About Me

Hey, we're four guys who simply love music. We want to make rock that aside from being good rock also gets you thinking about life and more specifically about things like social justice, spirituality, relationships, inner peace, war and much more. We started writing songs in September/October of 2006, after finding out that we loved the same styles of music, and loved playing music together. Three of us (Robert, Marty and Erik) are brothers. Since we live together, we write a lot of songs together. We love our songs, and we hope to present our songs to people who are interested in what we know, feel, believe, do, are etc.Oh before we forget...we get a lot of questions about our name. Zenith means climax or summit among other things. Abolition means getting rid of something. We are looking forward to the day that all injustice, poverty, pain, inequality and captivity will be abolished forever. The name also means getting rid of our own distorted behavior which is at the root of the state the world is in. Our band name is also a tribute to the Abolitionists, who bravely fought against slavery and finally abolished it (although sadly enough in some parts of the world slavery is still very much alive but it is not as dominant and 'normal' as it used to be). It is a tribute to those that fought, suffered and sometimes even died for justice and in the name of love. People like: Gandhi, Martin Luther King jr., Mother Theresa, Henri Nouwen, Francis of Assissi, Bono and Father Damien are just some of those we're thinking of. And finally but most importantly Zenith of Abolition is a man. A man that abolished the evil that enslaves all people and who embodies the promise that one day wrongs will be avenged and justice will triumph. He is the Greatest Abolitionist of all time...he goes by the name of Jesus of Nazareth.-Erik, Ray, Robert and Marty
