Nuovo progetto di Tommaso Mantelli, gia' cantante dei 'Si:Pja e bassista nei FULL EFFECT. Intrigato dalle storie sugli UFO, un bel giorno scopre che il primo pilota militare a morire inseguendo un oggetto volante non identificato fu il Capitano Thomas Mantell... e decide di dedicare un progetto a questo suo omonimo tristemente illustre. Mischiando un'attitudine punk, macchine e melodie pop, produce un intero LP dalle atmosfere spaziali ma sporche.. una realistica visione di un futuro cosmico: "Long Way Pursuit", disponibile su iTunes Store per KIVER/RECORD KICKS. Nel 2006 Mantell trascorre qualche mese a Berlino a caccia di contatti e il risultato e' che la Motorola Germany sceglie il singolo "Sorry, I Love My B-Side" per una commercial interna. In live il basso e la voce del Capitano sono supportati dal Sergente Roma alla batteria e dal Doctor Ciste all'elettronica, musiciti da anni attivi nell'underground elettro punk del nord italia, con i quali e' gia' al lavoro nella preproduzione del secondo LP "Rest In + s p A c e +". Il trio, in qualita' di vincitori del Contest, si esibisce sul main stage dell' Heineken Jamming Festival 2007, proprio poco prima che si scateni l'ira della natura. Dal 2007 in tour per promuovere il primo disco, condividendo il palco anche con gruppi prestigiosi tra i quali Klaksons, Icarus, LN Ripley, Ex Otago, Atari. Disponibile anche il remix di Discount dei Funkabit, presente nel DISCOUNT EP by Mozzarella Records. Inspired by UFO stories he decides to dedicate an entire project about his unfortunately famous ononymous. So he produces "Long Way Pursuit", an entire LP at home, mixing punk attitude, space sounds and pop melodies... a realistic vision of the cosmic future. During year 2006 he stays in Berlin for a few months in order to discover the new electronic scene, to play live the prewiew songs from the album (out now for KIVER / RECORD KICKS), and to get some useful contacts (MOTOROLA Germany uses the CAPTAin's single "SOrry, I LOve My B-SIde" for an internal commercial...) On the stage CAPTAin MANTell's voice and bass are supported by Sergente Roma on the drums and Doctor Ciste on the electronic stuff, working toghether to the next LP "Rest In + s p A c e +.
