Quran Goodman is a veteran producer/artist.Hailing from West Philly,"Q" started his career in music at the young age of 11 years old in the rap group "Da Youngstas" with brother Taji & cousin Tarik.Da Youngstas released 4 albums titled "Somethin 4 Da Youngstas","The Aftermath" (which was produced by big names such as Naughty By Nature,Pete Rock,D.J. Premier,The Beatnuts,Marley Marl, & Lawrence Goodman),"No Mercy",and "I'll Make U Famous" on Eastwest/Atlantic Records which resulted to them engraving their mark in the hip hop world.Quran eventually moved on to producing from being raised in a house hold of music.His father "Lawrence Goodman" (who also taught Quran how to produce) started the first rap label in Philadelphia history named "Pop Art Records" and "Hilltop Hustlers" and is responsible for discovering,producing,and releasing records on mega talents "Will Smith,Salt & Pepa,Biz Markie,Roxanne Shante',Galaxy,Cool C,Steady B,and 3x Dope".At the age of 18 Quran's production skills captured the ears of multi-platinum mega production duo Tone & Poke better known as "Trackmasters" after meeting them in a Miami studio session with Nas & Dr. Dre.Soon after,Quran went on to produced the smash hit Method Man feat. D'Angelo single titled "Break Ups 2 Make Ups" off of the 2x platinum album "Tical 2000: Judgement Day".Goodman also got his shine by co-starring alongside Method Man in the "Hype Williams" directed video (look closely and you'll also spot "50 Cent" alongside "Q" in the club scene).Quran also captured the attention of music mogul/icon "Babyface and Tracy Edmonds" and was given a six figure co-publishing deal with Edmonds Music Publishing based in Los Angeles.Goodman is also credited for inking a six figure 10 song deal along with a production company deal for his "Face Off Entertainment" imprint with Sony/BMG to sign,develop,and release music on his artists.As to date,Quran has produced records for numerous huge names such as "50 Cent,Missy Elliott,Mary J. Blige,Ludacris,Nas,Amerie,Will Smith,Method Man,Ghostface,Beanie Siegal,State Property,Daddy Yankee,A.Z.,Freeway,Slick Rick,Kurupt,Charli Baltimore,Kobe Bryant,Keith Murray,Mobb Deep,Purple City feat. Juelz Santana,Peedi Peedi,Black Thought (The Roots),Freck Billionaire,Slim (112),Vita,Grand Puba,Carmine Gotti,Ali Vegas,Jakk Frost,Ram Squad,Konfidential" and a host of others.Goodman also is in the middle of building and opening his own state of the art recording studio "Q Studio's".Having small roles in movies like "Who's The Man",he's also recently been pursuing acting.Quran will be releasing music on numerous major released projects this year and still counting,so keep your ears open.He plans to be the next huge music mogul in the industry and it looks like he's on the right track.
