Dante "Destro" Barton got his 1st professional taste of the music business as a Dj in a rap group signed to the legendary LUKE SKYWALKER RECORDS also responsible for the 2 LIVE CREW. Although a great experience, Destro turned his attention to music production. He purchased an Mpc 60, began producing acts & made a name for himself locally. He would meet then partner HANSOUL & together would become one of the first acts signed to the LOUD RECORDS label (WUTANG CLAN, MOBB DEEP, and BIG PUN).
Destro would later meet LAWRENCE GOODMAN founder of POP ART RECORDS & also groups like JAZZY JEFF & the FRESH PRINCE, COOL C, STEADY B, 3 X DOPE, SALT & PEPPER, ROXANNE SHANTA, MARLEY MARL and DAYOUNSTA'S. Destro would also produce music for and travel on tour as the Dj of the rap group DAYOUNSTA'S.
After that stint, Destro would later hook up with partners STEVIE G & DANA BLACK & form AGAINST ALL ODDS Ent.. Together they were responsible for the signing of such acts as the YOUNG GUNS, PHILLY MOST WANTED, POODA BROWN & NINA ROSS and MONTANA. A.A.O. also signed production deals with such labels as ATLANTIC rec., PRIORITY rec. & THE BEAT CLUB (Timbaland's label) for the above acts. Later Destro & his A.A.O. partners would sign a substantial 6 figure deal with JOE NICOLE Ceo of RUFF HOUSE rec. (LAURYN HILL, THE FUGEES, CYPRESS HILL, and KRIS KROSS) to become in-house producers and A&R representatives. During this era Destro would produce such acts as NELLY, DRAG ON, KRIS KROSS, SHALIK RIVERS ext.
Destro would go on to form UNDERWORLD ENTERTAINMENT & would produce such acts as USHER, AMERIE, SMITTY, JAKK FROST, STERLING SIMMS ext. With artist deals, production deals, song & publishing deal under his belt. The GRAMMY nominated music producer, along with partner DANIEL MARION intend to expand UNDERWORLD ent. making it a even larger multi media entertainment company.
