I love music that is high in energy, that "get crunk in the club" music from them southern boyz, Sean Paul & Beenie Man, merengue, acid jazz (U MUST CHK OUT KOOP), Jill Scott, Usher, & Jodeci will 4ever be my number 1, Missy, Timb, & Pharell have the recipe on bankable beats. I dig Maroon 5, Mos Def is one of the Mos Deffest, Jigga's my nig, & Nas always has sum knowledge to drop on me. I always keep sumn old school in the CD changer (Prince, Chaka, Nina Simone, Stevie, & Al.) I simply love what not only sounds good, but feels good. Books:
I can't seem to read enough books about black folks being in love, and one of my favorite authors who knows how to capture every nuace, every rise & fall that people go through in an effort to love & understand each other is Eric Jerome Dickey. E. Lynn Harris also knows how to stick his toe all up in the goodness he creates. Another book that was just a page turner was Sista Soulja's "Coldest Winter Ever."
Heroes:
I have 2 very strong women in my lilfe whom I admire, my mom & my sister.I also have an admiration for Oprah.I meet people who inspire me every day though. Anyone I meet who has a dream & is hungry & going for that dream is a hero in my eyes.
