About Me

As of May 2008, NiteRail will again be accepting club bookings. If you would like to contact us about club dates, festival dates, or other large special events, please email us at "niterail AT niterail.com" OR visit Mike's MySpace page or James's MySpace Page .
WE THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT OVER THE LAST FEW YEARS AND APPRECIATE ALL YOU'VE DONE FOR US.
Delivering your favorite classic and contemporary tunes, NiteRail is a highly improvisational rock band that blends funk, blues, and rock into a sound that is described as dynamically organic and a thrill for concert goers. NiteRail captivates audiences with a balance of virtuosity, song selection, and soul that is rarely found in bands.
What can you expect from NiteRail? NiteRail delivers high energy party music all night long! This not background music. It’s a rock show from start to finish that is just as exciting to watch as it is to listen to! The band hashes out a dynamic blend of current rock and classic rock that will get booties on the dance floor!
NiteRail is most commonly found performing as an energetic five-piece rock band. Led by guitar hero Korey Hicks, the band’s musicianship is top notch and air-tight. Boasting both male and female vocals, keyboards, harmonica, percussionist, drummer, bass, and guitar, NiteRail is able to cover hits songs that many other bands are not capable of playing. This includes hits from bands like: Santana, Gnarles Barkley, the Beatles, Stevie Wonder, John Mayer, the Black Crowes…and that’s just the start of it!
History: Formed in 2004, NiteRail has played over 50 venues throughout Minnesota and Wisconsin as both a rock and blues group! Some of the venues played include Famous Dave’s and the Cabooze in the Twin Cites, the Kato Ballroom and Hooligan’s in Mankato, and Oktoberfest and Nighthawk’s in Lacrosse, Wisconsin. NiteRail and its members have also played festivals such as the Tree Frog Music Festival, Mankato Ribfest, Oldtown Summerfest, Summer Solstice, Mid Summer Jazz Festival, and the Chatfield Crawdad Festival.
Recognitions: NiteRail’s work has been featured in publications like the Mankato Free Press, Rochester Post-Bulletin, Owatonna People's Press, Faribault Daily News, Blue Monday Monthly, Static Magazine, and Applauze Magazine. Original recordings have been played by radio stations like KFAI, 96.7 The Dog FM, and KMSU.
Expansion: You’ll never see the members of NiteRail bored because they are always seeking to push their limits. The band is constantly adding to new and classic hits to their play list and is currently capable of performing over 100 songs spanning rock, blues, funk, and soul.
Capabilities: NiteRail can deliver a full three-hour headline performance as well as festival and opening sets in a three to seven-piece setting. Besides their high-energy rock show, NiteRail is also capable of playing up to a three set blues show. NiteRail tailors set lists to the specific needs of your event and can cover anything from large festival stages to intimate acoustic events – just ask!
