I like programming. Mostly Web programming. I like the fact that everything is always a challenge and i need that because i get bored very easy. I also really like studying Alternative Medicine. Yes, the western medical system is fucked up. I recently went on a Spiritual retreat for 3 days. I met a very interesting woman from California who studies Ayurveda and other mind and body balancing techniques. To say the least it has been the greatest discovery for me. It was really intense and what i learned in those 3 days was amazing. I wish everyone could do this. I also started learning Qi Quong, which is a Chinese Practice to balance the body and have begun studying Dharmma, which is the study of Buddah. I am trying to reach mindfulness and become enlightened through the teachings of Buddism. Someday i wish to visit Tibet and coherse with Tibetans and learn more about their way of life, i guess i admire widsom and see the Dalai Lama as the wisest of wisest. I have much to learn i say to myself. Much to learn about myself. That it is what i believe our time here is for. Time to grow. To grow, we need light. Not just for warmth, but for internal vision. I also want to learn a different language someday. Hopefully in a couple years i can move somewhere to Europe or Central America and live there and learn another language. In my spare time i jam with the guitar. Hopefully when i get my bike done i can sell it so i can buy the Guitar of my dreams. Its a Taylor 614-CE Grand Auditorium Cutaway. Man i dream about this thing everyday. Its been my Background picture on my Computer for a year now. Ive studied music theory for about 3 years now on my own and ive also applied it to the piano. I took piano lessons and that really increased my knowlege of the guitar. So, lesson learned, teach yourself the piano first before any instrument. Oh, Yah, the Drums. Nothing more to say to that, just come party with me sometime, youll see.
I wish i could meet Eddie Vedder of Pearl Jam, and also Travis Meeks, and Neil Young and drummer Tommy Lee. These guys are amazing musicians. I had a dream once that i was hanging out with Eddie Vedder and i woke up when i was trying to call my best friend so he could talk to him. It might not have been real, but it was the coolest thing thats ever happened to me. But i would say Meeks is having the most influence on my musical aspiraitions.
I made an interesting discovery the other day when i was getting frustrated trying to write music. The realization was that its not up to me to judge how good i am at something to determine if i should be doing it or not. In fact, its not up to me to know HOW i am going to achieve my desires, WHEN those desires or even if they will fullfill my heart, WHO will show up to help me find the path, WHERE i need to be physically to achieve those goals, or even the purpose. A persons only real duty in life is to follow your heart. So, it is by this premise, i believe that following my desire to create music may not lead to being in a band or even publishing a CD, but nature has a way of keeping up its promise to you, and i am only to know what that is when its time for me to know. My Mom is my hero for sure. Ive watched her my whole life working for money so she can buy nice things but not working for the heart, and now in the last five years ive been lucky to see her start her own Crafts shop and man she blows my mind. Hopefully, someday i can have a family and a house so she can decorate it, shes amazing. Most important thing ive learned in life, is its never to late to do what you love. I wish i could have started music earlier when i was little but, that just means i have to work harder now and a little smarter is all. Its all about the Journey anyways, See yah along the way.
