About Me

Taking a phrase from his years at Boston's Berklee College of music, Korey is a true "Guitar Monk". Endless hours of refining his craft over the years have resulted in a well rounded, tasty guitar style - deeply grounded in the blues and refined by jazz and country.Korey has spent time in a wide variety of groups, including rock bands, blues bands, variety dance bands, country bands, and his own trio, singing and performing guitar instrumental music. He has opened for many national acts, including the Chris Duarte Group, Indigenous, and Del Amitri. He has performed at over 20 music festivals, headlining a few, such as Oktoberfest '07 and the Dead of Winter Jam. Korey has been performing since he was 15 - close to half his life!Korey is currently the lead guitarist in the band Niterail.When he isn't playing in the band, Korey is a private guitar instructor at a local music school. He has taught over 10,000 guitar lessons to people of all ages.Korey plays: Fender Custom Shop Telecasters and Dr. Z amps.
