I play banjo and cello, and sing. I write about medical things for a living. Many people recognize me from the Syreens, an all-gal bluegrass band that plays from time to time out here in Detroit. However, we've pretty much been on hiatus since our fiddler left for Pittsburg. So, I'm currently involved in other projects. In the past year or so I've had the pleasure of accompanying my friend Audra Kubat for several performances and playing in a jug band called the Motor City Sidestrokers. My other occupations include freelance writing, editing and interior painting. I'm originally from New Orleans, but I always somehow end up moving places where I freeze my butt off. My homes have included Derry, Budapest, Prague and now Detroit.
