RE: Friend Requests. . . send me a message so I know who you are. I don't add random people/bands I don't know.

I try and try to be a movie person, but I don't have the energy. I fall into the chick flick demographic sometimes. I also like Will Ferrell (have lately learned that my friends are bitterly divided on him...I think he's pretty funny.) Documentaries are good, "Meet the Friedmans" "Grey Gardens" quirky stuff with a dark side. I don't like on-screen violence and that has kept me from a lot of movies. (like...um...I've never seen Pulp Fiction. There, I admitted it.) True faves, off the top of my head, include Swingers, Dazed and Confused, Rushmore, Reality Bites (Yeah...so what of it!?) Grease, Grease 2 (Yeah, so what of it!?) If A Man Answers, Subway, Tapeheads, Head, Sense and Sensibility
I haven't had cable in over a decade. I get sucked into Sex and the City reruns, even though all the characters annoy the shit out of me. I watch Friends and still laugh sometimes. The Office (us) has had me in tears laughing. I think LOST, Grey's Anatomy, and Heroes are sending out submliminal messages forcing people to like them. I wear an aluminum hat when I watch TV, so I am impervious. Thus, I think those shows all suck. Oh, and 24 sucks too. DON'T FEAR THE KEIFER!
I'm trying to read, but again...I'm lazy and consumed with more superficial things. Currently reading a book about Bill Haley and his Comets. Waiting for the library to call me with the new Jen Trynin book.
I hope to someday be my own hero. Until then, my grandma Solveig will have to do.
