In no particular order, my interests are: music, dance, language, friends, movies, reading, hiking, biking, fishing, snowshoeing, snowboarding, swimming, 4WD offroading, eating spicy food and sushi, coffee, tea, conservation biology, anthropology, traveling, dreaming. Eventually I would like to progress to a PhD in linguistic anthropology. One of my goals in life is to conquer many languages, including but not limited to: Spanish, French, Portuguese, Japanese, Mandarin Chinese, Italian, Arabic, Ibo and Ga.

Reggae, real hip-hop, drum-n-bass, ragga, soca, dancehall, Afro-pop, Afro-beat, Ghana highlife, Ghana hiplife, salsa, merengue, bachata, swing, jam, soca, reggaeton, Hawai'ian island music, trance, house, drum 'n' bass, Arabic, Egyptian, Lebanese, bellydance, flamenco, flamenco fusion etc. etc.... world music in general, and/or anything that can be danced to! I love making music--I play several instruments and I sing too! I am always looking for new stuff to listen to! As long as the quality of music is good, then the genre does not matter! Some favorite artists include: Angelique Kidjo, Bob Marley, Elephant Man, Chambao, Ojos de Brujo, Fela Kuti, Manu Chao, DJ Rap, Aphrodite, Miri Ben-Ari (the hip-hop violinist), Zap Mama, Erykah Badu, India Arie, The Roots, Talib Kweli, Leela James, Rakim y Ken-Y, Wisin y Yandel, Laura Pausini, Natacha Atlas, Balkan Beat Box, Bole2Harlem, and much much much much much much more!Music is life!
