About Me

Hey.... to all followers of obscure bands.The Diodes were one of a handful of first wave Punk bands out of Toronto Canada who made their mark and wisely disappeared into the archives of a handful of enlightened record collectors and journalists.
A Big thanks to Ralph Alfonso our loyal manager who has tirelessly promoted us for the last quarter century,to Gary Stewart for reissuing our near hit Tired of Waking Up Tired on the Rhino Records power pop compilation and Bob Mould for all of his support. A few years ago things began to resurface when Sony released a compilation of our first 2 Columbia/Epic releases as The Best Of The Diodes.
look out for the rerelease of our third album Action Reaction on Bullseye Records/Bongo Beat Records soon. Also ,The Diodes Live at the El Mocombo a classic Canadian performance is released sometime this year. All of this renewed interest in the band has had a knock on effect and a few gigs featuring the original line up took place last spring. The first in Liverpool at the famous Cavern Club as part of the IPO Festival and another 2 in Toronto as part of The NXNE Festival.Who knows what 2008 will bring..More to follow.!!

After 9/11 why is this exciting .Exactly who cares?? Comedies..casting the same 5 people in every film is not funny.....

Television:

Like: Six Feet Under,Courage The Cowardly Dog , Spaced..Nathan Barley...The Mighty Boosh...FLIGHT OF THE CONCHORDS... 600 channels and still nothing to watch most of the time.
