Any film that moves slowly, makes me want to weep or features unusual narratives,
often with Eastern European accents somehow seems to appeal...
Television:
Television has never really appealed but I've been seduced by series
like Lost, Twin Peaks, The Office, Kath and Kim, CSI, Alias. Sometimes a little
arts show, sometimes the weather, sometimes the news, sometimes music, but otherwise
prefer to pass this medium over, unless I'm in a hotel and the alien voices keep
me company.
Books:
Writers have meant so much to me in my life, so many writers and so many words
on the page. Among those who immediately come to mind are BS Johnson, Harry Matthews,
George Perec, Italo Calvino, Derek Jarman, Samuel Beckett, James Joyce, John
Donne, WB Yeats, Dylan Thomas, Stewart Home, Alain Robbe-Grillet, Robert Lowell,

Heroes:
Heroes are difficult to represent as sometimes they are so personal as to mean
nothing to others but figures that has played a very positive role in the shape
of my life are undeniably American composer John Cage, German artist Joseph
Beuys,
American film maker Bruce Conner, and English writer B
S Johnson, but in many
ways, each day we discover a new 'hero' who offers inspiration and colour to
our lives.
