Television:
So, I didn't watch alot of tv in
the 90's. I missed cool fads like blossom and that show about the lawyers
with the skinny girl because I was too busy partying. However before I was
partying I watched a lot of cartoons. I watched other shows then this and
some I liked more then what is on this list. But some how these shows left
impressions. If you click the link it will bring you to the page on one of my
favorite sites, "retrojunk" where you can view the opening sequence. www.retrojunk.com
Transformers -
Oh crap my pants, I wanted to be a robot and serve under a powerful leader like
Optimus Prime.
Ducktales -
i just dug this show, especially when it first started, the Disney shows that
followed never lived up to this series.
Thundercats -
It was great, it was about some college room mates moving into a neighborhood
next to some old guy in a bath robe who bitched a lot and got other neighbors to
do shit, but never did much himself. I have lived this life since and
totally get it now.
He-Man -
I was five, he was a god, I was him every Halloween and birthday.... For
you idiots who mess up the sacred words, he says "I HAVE THE POWER!" Not "I AM
HE MAN" that was She-Ra, and you are posers for watching it.
Muppet
Babies - um, it was a secret passion, they played pretend just like me,
so I watched it for ideas, much life craft shows now.
Jem
And The Holograms - I was in love with Synergy, bet you could have
guest that.
Alvin
and the Chipmunks - I wanted to be Alvin some day, I even saw the movie in
theaters.
Beverly
Hills Teens - I dunno I watched it because, I wanted to believe people
lived like this somewhere. Some day I hope to be rich and raise kids
there.
Care
Bears - SHUSH we were kids, it made sense to us.
Chuck
Norris - I never really watched it, but its chuck so i plan
to.
The
Dukes of Hazzard - I grew up in a place like this, so I thought this
was real when I was little. Up until I jumped my uncles Mach 1 into a creek...
at the age of five....
The
Great Space Coaster - This show's theme never leaves my mind, I can not
make the opening credits stop playing my head. I hated this show, but it was
always on before I walked to school.
Kidd
Video - This show is the perfect example of the eighties rock
propaganda, it fited nicely with stone wash pants, and my trarpper keeper that
read "rock & roll" in pink gell letters on wet concrete... Event then
while my parents and others thought that was cool, I HATED IT... however I
watched this show because we didn't ahve Mtv, and they would show modern videos
on it... in part..
LazerTag
Academy - I loved this show all like three episodes. I wanted to meet
and marry the main character when I grew up, according to the show she lived in
now… So she is here some where… Probably attending my raves.
The
Littles - I owned all the picture books, and the 3d scholastic cut our
book. I couldn't get enough. Late at night I would sit in my room re
reading their adventures. Man I loved it. No seriously why are not more kids who
are retro fashion crazy more into this? I mean tails, hats, little projects made
from little junk things?
Mighty
Orbots - HOLY CRAP! I saw this show like three times, and I spent the
rest of my life trying to tell people about it. No one believed me, and
they all thought I was crazy. Well here its bitches
PROOF!!!
Mysterious
Cities of Gold - I watched this show like religion, it was a serial. I
loved it, I wanted to go to with them, I became very interested in Mayan
Anthropology and cultures. I wish I owned this show now so I could re
watch it.
Noozles -
This was a show on Nic, I would watch it and really get into it. At first it was
just cute, but then it got soooo good.
Robotech -
Rick, Lisa, and Roy Fokker, I cried when Roy died. this was my first "Soap Opera" I
still own Macross Saga, I watch it at night when I am alone and
lonely and wish I was there serving on the SDF-1 wearing bell
bottoms.
Saber
Rider - This was my second "Soap Opera", I remember the second half of
this show being really intense. The plot was really just big, I hope I can
find it some day and see if it was as intense as I remember it being when I was
ten.
Turbo
Teen - WHY THE HELL DID I WATCH THIS? It was awful. ugh. I
didn't even like it then, but some how it was better then the others on at that
time, like the Fonze time travel crap.
Voltron,
Vehicle - Voltron,
Defender of the Universe Okay this confused me, and I think it confused
tv stations. Because one day you would be watching the tiger one and the next
day it would be the car one. WTF? both had the same opening sequence,
which you can watch by clicking on the links. I personally liked the tiger
one better.
You
Can't Do That On Television - HOLY CRAP this is what made NIC. I
mean where would we be with out green slime and water, and bad locker jokes
and Barf?
The
Electric Company I barely remember this show, I just remember spider
man, and the whispering thing. oh and of course....."HEY YOU
GUYS!"
Tranzor
Z / Mazinger Z - ugh... ugh
