People in the music biz, Friends who are into raving, going out dancing at clubs, making music, acting, going to museums and other attractions around Seattle (yes, I am kind of a nerd like that). making clothing and other crafts, being creative. Not looking for anything more than friends as I am in a serious relationship with the most wonderful guy.
I am really getting into more Electro, synthpop, and ambient styles of music. Freezepop are my heroes!! They are an inspiration to me. I just saw them at the PAX convention and they were amazing.I still like happy hardcore particularly the nu-skool Trancecore. As far as other electronic music goes I like jungle, breaks, some trance and funky house. Funk is the best music to dance to. Even though I am a singer, I am really bad about names of djs and bands. I also like Trip-hop, massive attack used to be my favorite group. Lately I have been really interested in the whole electro/synth-pop style. I really like the 80's revival thing as that music reminds me of my childhood. Music that isn't electronic; My b/f got me into the Cherry Poppin' Daddies and I would have to say they are my favorite band right now. If I listen to music other than electronic it is usually swing, jazz, musicals, or things like Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin. I am open to giving pretty much any style of music a chance, but since I sing in an electronic group, it is hard for me to find time to listen to other styles.
I like a variety of movies, but my favorites are either really emotional, off the wall movies like Donnie Darko, Secretary, or Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless mind or really cheesy, funny, bad movies like Zoolander. Last night I just saw Garden state. It was really good, very emotional.
My favorite show right now is Arrested Development. That show is off the wall and hilarious I don't watch tv that often, as we don't have cable. Alot of the time Ryan and I just leave the tv on while we are doing stuff. We have it on for the simpsons, king of the hill and Malcom in the middle. All of which are great shows. I also really liked Futurama when it was on and when I had cable I would watch Aqua teen hunger force or possibly something on the travel, discovery or history channel.
I don't have as much time to read as I would like.Neil Gaiman is the best author ever. American Gods is the best book I have ever read! When I do get a chance right now my favorite authors are Caitlyn Kiernan and China Mieville. Ryan my b/f has gotten me into reading the Redwall series and it is good. I read while I am taking the bus to and from work since it takes me about 40 min. each way, I have to have something to read. I hate waiting and get very impatient waiting for the bus.
Audrey Hepburn, John Waters, Michael Alig ( let me explain, I am incredibly fascinated by how Michael managed to capture the attention of so many and basically get anything he wanted (an apartment, drugs, money) by just being himself)
