Wordsmith’s solo releases have included his first solo Ep ‘More than Words Can Say’ on son records followed by the critically acclaimed cd album ‘The Roadman Showcase’. Son have recently released a limited edition 7”, ‘Analyst’, featuring Genesis Elijah, currently tearing up dance-floors with the up tempo reggae filled track Trading bars on the flip. His ‘Life After the Apocalypse’ 12”, on sit tight records, reached number one on the 1xtra chart and featured Jehst and Scribblah, living up to the high standards and consistent level of output that this man has set himself. With a 14 date UK tour last year and forthcoming releases well underway there seems to be no let off for the industry as Wordsmith has set his sights on big things in the future. Watch this space. ............................................................ ...............................................

Sounds Like: “Imagine the blend of gangster and punch-lines that made Fat Joe of a certain vintage.., Wordsmith packs a lyrical punch and that’s what stands out on this impressive debut.” HHC April ‘05 ............................................................ ............................................................ .............. “Occupying the middle ground between the twisted visions of Roots Manuva and the street science of Klashnekoff, it’s Wordsmith’s ability to let listeners into his world that will assure that his name goes down as one of the Uk’s brightest talents.” Blues and Soul, March ‘05 ............................................................ ............................................................ ............“I’m exceedingly glad that MC’s like Wordsmith and instrumentals such as this exist.. Genesis Elijah also features tearing up any track he’s on.” Undercover Feb ‘05 ............................................................ ...................................
