The Answer started DJing in 1996 whilst still in school and began handing out mix tapes in the hip hop hot pot that is Amersham, Bucks. He started to get sets in bars and clubs and it wasn't untill he met Genesis Elijah whilst working at Virgin in Watford that things started to expand. Since then, the duo have performed all over the country including the 2005 Glastonbury Festival and released a number of mix tapes that have received critical acclaim from the likes of Undercover Magazine, Hip Hop Connection and Blues & Soul. Last year F.T.P Radio (Vol. 17) and his mix tape with Illustrate (Get The Picture) tore up the UK scene but the best is still to come.The Answer is currently working on Volume 18 of his mix CD series. Previous releases have included exclusive tracks from the likes of Klashnekoff, Sway and Jehst.DJ Answer and Genesis Elijah have now set up their own label Escape Route Music and have already planned 3 releases for the first half of 2006. These consist of a new mix CD from KAY K titled "BLA-K-OUT 3:3", the new "INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION" CD mixed by THE ANSWER and the duo's new compilation "KICK IN THE DOOR". All three include new production from DJ ANSWER himself. Answer now works mainly with Genesis Elijah, Wordsmith, Kay K, Ahmos, Steet Philosopha and Illustrate- The new generation of UK hip hop!The Answer's previous releases can be purchased from WWW.DJANSWER.COMHolla at him!
