Footloose and fancy-free

About Me

I'm Hannah.
I'm in London on my OE at the moment, working a little bit, travelling a lot, meeting great new people, and having the time of my life.
I miss my friends and family but there is a whole world out here that I can make my own, and figure out who I am along the way.
I am a pirate, though I do a very good impersonation of a ninja.
I've fallen in love with the pub way of life.
I dislike people who are dishonest with me or with themselves.
My boots are like my children and my sleeping bag is my best friend (even if it does smell like beer, thanks to Anna).
I'm living with my godmother, but spend more time in Wimbledon, Belsize Park and Clapham than I do here.
I have an intense fear of cockroaches.
I have a tattoo of a kiwi on my hip, four piercings in my ears and one in my eyebrow.
I constantly find things to love about this world.
I am a Gemini and a dragon.
I love having my birthday in June.
I drink, don't smoke and have never taken drugs.
I believe I can do anything if I want it enough and work hard enough, but everything happens for a reason, and failure isn't the end of the world.
One of my feet is bigger than the other, and one of my ears is higher than the other.
I am Hannah.

Jessica!

Well, we think her name is Jessica. She's beautiful, if a little battered. She's white, with a blue stripe, and a couple of dents. She has three seats up front and in the back there's a couch tha...

Praha

After I got back from Scotland, I had five days to reacquaint myself with London, during which I did very little. Took Libby out a few times (summer hols), a day's work, and Clare and Maree's 21st par...

The craic is better in Ireland...

So, yes, I'm in Ireland. I checked in at Stansted with plenty of time to spare, but the queue for security checks was so long that by the time I got through I had to run for my plane. Annoying. But I ...

Dublin

Well, I did it. I made it to Ireland. Dublin is OK. A little bit grey. I'm in a hostel room with 15 other people, it's a little bizarre. I leave on my ten day tour tomorrow and it will be so much fun!...

I'm off like a bucket of prawns in the hot hot sun....

Last week, I met the Queen!!   No, that's actually a lie, its just that my week was so boring I had to make stuff up to make it sound fun.   On wednesday I hovered by the phone all morning i...

Pirates!

On Friday night I went to Lock 17 for birthday drinks with some friends, the weather was amazing so we sat outside in the sunshine (although we had to fight for a table) and Tim and Amanda gave me a B...

Birthday!

Last weekend, Nic and I went to the Cotswolds to see Paul (old family friend type thing). Our train from Paddington was seriously delayed, which wouldn't have been a problem, except we only have five...

Another week in foggy London town

Well, I seem to have been keeping very busy, though I'm not sure how. Libby's birthday was on the Tuesday, and she was thrilled with a mobile, a mobile phone case and an assortment of other pin...

Long time no blog!

Well, I know you have all been waiting with baited breath for my latest update, so here it is. This one will be shorter as I'm sure I'm not the only one getting tired of my mammoth blogs. Nic and I fl...

Lest we forget - a Turkeriffic experience!

Well. I've been back from Turkey for a few days and I'm still raving about it. I stayed at Nic's the night before I left, and was feeling a little nervous as I waved goodbye to him from the train. I w...
