Keeping Burlesque Alive in New Orleans!

About Me

Creator and Producer of BUSTOUT BURLESQUE, a 1950s-style New Orleans burlesque show that opened on March 13, 2005. See www.bustoutburlesque.comI have been researching New Orleans burlesque (1940s - 1960s) for over 10 years, and have interviewed dozens of former Bourbon Street strippers, comics, musicians, and entertainers. I have spoken on New Orleans burlesque at The New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival, The Tennessee Williams Festival, Tease-O-Rama I and II, and other venues.I've worked closely with Kitty West (Evangeline the Oyster Girl), Wild Cherry, and Tajmah the Jewel of the Orient to understand the lost art of striptease.Directed and shot the documentary "Ruthie the Duck Girl," Miss Pussycat's "North Pole Nutrias," and Quintron's "The Drum Buddy Show." Created the website www.eccentricneworleans.com
