This page is for all Alumni, Friends, and Fans of the Tarheel Sun Drum & Bugle Corps.
Tarheel Sun was a Drum & Bugle Corps based in Cary, NC. Started in 1995 by Ira Freedman, Tarheel Sun became known as one the premier Drum & Bugle Corps of the South. Tarheel Sun won two Divison 2 high drum awards, one Divison 2 best Drum Major award, and won many regional championship awards. Tarheel Sun became a Division 1 and DCI member corps at the conclusion of the 1998 season. Sadly, after the 2000 season, due to many reasons, Tarheel Sun was forced to disband. Tarheel Sun's alumni however, continued on in the Drum Corps activity, many became members of Top 12 Drum & Bugle Corps, and even members of the hit Star of Indiana production "Blast!"
This myspace page is dedicated to the memory of a Drum & Bugle Corps, that's members and staff believed anything was possible, and proved to the world, that no matter what, they could succeed.
