I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

I host a morning show on the best commercial radio station in Seattle: 103.7 FM The Mountain.
That's not to be cocky (although that's probably within my character, too), it's simply that The Mountain is the station I would listen to whether I worked there or not. And that's a rare and fortunate position to be in as a DJ. Typically, for survival sake, you work at stations that have no musical principles, to say nothing of taste. The Mountain is different, and has been since it signed on the air 15 years ago. Give it a listen: http://www.kmtt.com
Nearly as important to me as the music, is the live comedy I play every evening on my show. I love to laugh and am in awe of performers who step on stage and can have an audience in tears (the laughing kind) within minutes. It shouldn't work, but somehow it does. Over the years I've worked with brilliant comics: Mitch Hedberg, Jim Gaffigan, Mike Birbiglia, Greg Giraldo, Jake Johanssen, Tom Papa, Maria Bamford, David Crowe, Demetri Martin, Bill Maher, Eddie Izzard. These folks are like rock stars to me.
Every year I produce the "Marty Riemer :20 Funny Festival" in Seattle. It's a hilarious night of live comedy that is fast becoming the ultimate comedy event in the city ... although I have to admit, the comedy stage at Bumbershoot is a tough act to beat.

Anything by David Sedaris
High Fidelity
Straight Dope
