Northside Gigulation: 8pm Friday 24 November
Noise Bar
291 Albert St Brunswick
Join Kingbayler in what will effectively be a dress-rehearsal for their new, non-ratings season home-improvements show "Ripping It Up". Kb will join forces with Newcastle rennovation gurus The Good to raise the roof, and will be seeking audience participation on the night for the feature segment "cutting-a-rug". In this episode Kb will be stripping back their catalogue of tunes, exposing the raw Rock base, before applying a few generous coats of Funk for an ass-shaking finish. This is music DIY style, so wear your best overalls and get ready to sweat it out!

THIS JUST IN: Kingbayler's show for SUNDAY 12 NOVEMBER has been transferred to Fad Bar on Waymouth St. Still at 8pm. The show will be all the more funked-up at Fad, so if you care to come down, make sure you wear some funky undies, 'cause we're gonna get groovy inside-out style!
(P.s. Our most sincere and humble apologies to anyone who showed up to the Exeter on Saturday night expecting a Kingbayler bonanza. Unfortunately the venue double-booked and they wouldn't give us a set, which was a spectacular bummer! )

Stop Press... is what yoda would say if he wanted you to press stop on your myspace music player because he was trying to speak to you and you were nodding and smiling as if you were listening to what he was saying but really your mind was elsewhere.
In other news, we have decided (well actually I'VE decided, but YOU don't know who this is!) to move our relatively unchanging history up to the blog section. Now we know that the Kb story is multi-layered and reveals new insights into the mysteries of the universe with each reading, but we hope that for all our old friends who wish to delve once again into its depths, its relocation to the blog section won't provide too much of an obstacle.
And besides, now we can post current news here. News like:
Here's some Carlton Draught stubby trivia for you: Which pioneering Aussie rockers have Kb recently returned from a regional VIC mini-tour with?
No, not Burke and Wills! (I said ROCKERS, not rock-CLIMBERS!)
It was The Angels, and it was an honour to join them as they ripped ear-drums fresh out of the skulls of what appeared to be most of Phillip Island, and definitely the whole of Bendigo. Many thanks to the folks who got their groove on while we warmed up the stage for the celestial headliners.
No thanks go to the dodgy fish and chip shop on the drive back who served up bass-player Tim a fresh side of Salmonella with his fish and chips, causing him to miss Monday night's cup-eve extravaganza at Fibbers down on Smith St. And what a gig to miss! Punters were literally hanging from the rafters (ok, not literally, but i didn't literally mean "literally") and screaming Kb tunes from the tops of their lungs, METAPHORICALLY raising the roof in a night of merriment and mayhem which was enjoyed by all but the chundering Tim. The bass-less trio of Paul, Ads and Mark didn't miss a beat, and the euphoric crowd lapped up the tunes from Kb, having already gorged themselves on delectable melodic groove-biscuits provided by The Happy Endings and The Deconstructors.
Next weekend it's back on the road for MuMu, ChuckChuck, DumDum and BamBam (as the Baylers shall henceforth be known), this time to Adelaide with Glovebox and Violette, before getting back into the studio to put the finishing touches on the EP.
So we leave you with one last piece of Carlton Draught Stubby trivia:
Which Kb member was the recipient of the "Chunky Fanta" Award for "Best Interior Decoration Involving a Bed-Sheet"?
(Feel free to post answers in our comments section. Hasta pronto children!)
