About Me

Gramaphone predict Einaudi-like success for Mad Hatter Days in April edition... ......"One Way Day"is published in the Feb/Mar edition of "Pianist Magazine "If you like the piece and want to learn it be sure to pick up a copy!...Controversy over Ben Solomons article in Muso magazine... Ben lives in Brighton,England and has studied piano with Peter Wild for the last 10 years ,and composed for the piano since 1997. Ben started playing piano at 24 and is now in his mid thirties ,he has never taken a piano grade ,studied composition with a tutor or attended a music college !!!!You could call him a late blooming talent! David Nevue (programming director of solo piano radio podcast)said: "Torrington Haze is one of my favorite cd's in recent memory. I listen to 4 or 5 piano cd's a day -and Ben's really stood out ". My cd is played regularly on Whisperings Solo Piano Radio. You can buy my 2nd CD "Torrington Haze "from my website"www.bensolomon.co.uk". My 3rd album "Mad Hatter Days" is now available through CD Baby. The pieces contained in the album are performed by Peter Wild (Royal Academy gold medalist)and Peter Lapham, noted concert pianist and myself.I have included two tracks from this suite of pieces-"Escape"and"One Way Day"
