My life revolves around numbers. Numbers while I'm doing accounting at work or remembering seat numbers, table numbers and quantities while waiting tables.
Numbers are involved while I'm paying bills and tabs. Boiling rice. Pairing socks.
After the long days the number 6 chases me in my sleep. Always the 6.
I want a vegetable and herb garden. I want dark stained woods. I want big, vibrant colors. I want the saxophone on the record to sound like it's being played right next to me.
I look for saturation. Over-saturation. I want to be reminded that there is such a thing as too much butter in a dish. That there is true, unquestionable beauty in nature. I want that awesome day to be ten times awesomer.
Such, I do believe, is the true reason for living. What is the point of doing all of the motions correct if you can't derive joy out of it? I'll gladly take the harder life for that one ultimate apex.
