About Me

In one of his famous Yogi-isms, former NY Yankee catcher (Yogi Berra) exclaimed, “when you come to the fork in the road, take It !.” The road map for the aspiring musician is littered with forks and no direction. Art is The only discipline that promises nothing. It’s worth or lack of it is totally subjective. The average person couldn’t name a single living classically trained musician today. However, they could sing along to every word of Uncle Ted’s crappy garage band’s drinking tunes. Who you are, where you’ve been, makes little difference. What’s good? Who knows? Your guess is as good as any executive today. If I had chosen To throw my “musical hat” whole heartedly into the ring, I would have hung myself years ago. A musicians bio is worthless. Overworked terms like “heartfelt” or “literate” or “rockin,” are still subjective terms. Literate?…..by what standards? Heartfelt?……..By whom?……….Rockin?…..who knows what that even means anymore? The musician or artist doesn’t get to pick the tags. It’s all up to the masses. Money…… influence……..seem to have very little effect. Sure there are exceptions, but it’s a little like buying a hundred lotto tickets for the big jack pot. Your 20 million to 1 chances have just increased by 100,.…..but still every musician feels his or her art is just a little bit better than the rest…..and besides, someone has to win. Hmmmm! My music? I'll just smoke on it a while and flick it out there half lit, to catch fire or to be stomped out. Either way, it's out of my hands. Get this FREE MySpace layout and more at MySpaceOrYours.net
