About ten years ago, Misery made it's first appearance into this world. Guitarist and programmer Alain, guitarist Edwin and singer Bert came together to create an outlet for their emotions. The doomy, wavy gothrock from those early days soon evolved into an electronic sound.
In 2000, Lis joined Misery. After releasing a demo and a promo, in 2003 Bert decides to leave the band. Lis, Alain and Edwin went on. The first full length cd 'Nexus' was released in own management in 2005.
By now, Misery has played at festivals like Summer Darkness, Terra Gotha and shared the stage with the likes of a.o. Angels & Agony and Welle:Erdball.
Early 2007, guitarist Edwin leaves the band. Soon after, synthplayer Maarten becomes part of Misery. The electronics take the upper hand, a new sound is born.
Misery is now getting ready to release their second cd, 'Obscurus and Lux'. It was mixed by XP8's Marko Resurreccion. XP8 also made a wicked remix of Panorama, which was on Misery's first album 'Nexus'. After 'Nexus', Lis, Alain and Maarten are hungry for more! Misery is ready to return to the limelight.
