Music, warm weather, cycling, vegetarianism, exercising, yoga, movies, reading, writing, buying used CD's & books. All things vintage: clothes (stylish/good quality, & flattering), audio equipment, drums, cars, architecture, etc. Do I give rock-n-roll a bad name?
Like-minded people who love/play music. Vegetarians/Vegans, & those who are caring, compassionate, & sensitive toward animals, people, & the world will live in.
Love rock (not the indie/garage variety), but ROCK/Pop & whole lot more---for starters: Led Zeppelin, Steely Dan, Beatles, Stones, Silvertide, AC/DC, Black Crowes, Aerosmith, Def Leppard, Motley Crue, G&R, Three, Van Halen, Splender, SRV, Pretenders, Talking Heads, Eagles, Billy Joel, Missing Persons, Santana, Pink Floyd, James Taylor, Humble Pie, Jeff Beck, Police, Roxy Music, Faces, Queen, Tom Petty, Bryan Adams, Joni Mitchel, Little Feat, early Allman Brothers, Mike Farris, Green Day, Alice Cooper, etc. They all have something in common that doesn't seem to exist much anymore - killer songs/vocals/melodies/hooks/arrangements & musicianship! I'm also a rabid classic/contemporary R&B/Blues fan: Aretha Franklin, Tower Of Power, Otis Redding, Al Green, Ray Charles, Stax, Motown, Philly, Muscle Shoals, early Atlantic, Howard Tate, Joe Cocker, Boz Scaggs, Sly & The Family Stone, Bonnie Raitt, Temptations, Pointer Sisters, Isley Brothers, Dyke & The Blazers, Etta James, Coco Taylor, SRV, BB King, Gary Moore, James Brown, Toni Braxton, Lauryn Hill, Christina Aguliera, & on & on & on--------And a whole slew of records that my favorite studio drummers/musicians/singers performed on: Jeff Porcaro, Chuck Rainey, Richard Tee, Cornell Dupree, King Curtis, Patti Austin, etc. Literallly thousands. Then there's jazz - Miles Davis to Count Basie to Chet Baker to----well, you get the idea! And lastly, even some "contemporary" country (Shelby Lynn, Jo Dee Messina, Chris Cagle, Deana Carter), but I won't bore you------
Generally: drama/suspense. "The Last Seduction" with Linda Fiorentino is one of my favs. There are MANY more-----
What's that?
Wow, I'm a voracious reader. Everthing from Buddhism to Bondage. Kinda depends on the mood? Mainly "knowledge" books on specific subjects. I definitely need to make more time for the classics & fiction! Former read: "Sellout" (David Shippers). In an effort to expedite the naturalization of one million immigrants who might be more likely to vote, the Clinton/Gore team (in 1996) pressured the INS & FBI to suspend standard background check/fingerprint procedures on applicants for US citizenship. A felony charge that "conveniently" slipped through the cracks - nice! Current Read: "Everybody Dance - Chic (& the politics of disco) Daryl Easlea "The Law of Attraction" - Esther & Jerry Hicks
