What we be about…A yo, welcome to “Urban Unction.” This ya bwoy sundoulos, an’ this be tha My Space page for our radio show.We are just one show away, now, from concluding five Awesome years of broadcasting from the studio of WMTU 91.9 FM Houghton, MI, Michigan Technological University’s radio station.Our final, on-air broadcast with be this coming Saturday nite, 26 April 2008 from 7 P.M. to 10 A.M. I plan to resume internet broadcasting via our (unfinished) website: www.urbanunction.com.Ya bwoy is relocating to Chicago, so serve Jesus in street gang outreach an' youth-focused urban ministry. I'll be living near Cabrini-Green, an' fully intend to resume broadcasting over the internet from my crib in tha Chi. My homies tell me that with the right gear an' software, it ain't no big thang. An’ when hip hop meets its Creator (az the slogan from the ol’ Hip Hop Zone website used to put it) yo, itz goin’ down…Forever!Through holy hip hop, skilled, Anointed music ministers inspire and exhort us to worship the LORD, they proclaim His Word, they preach the Gospel—tha Good News about God’s only Savior—Jesus of Nazareth—the Christ. They ill challenge and encourage us, they get us madd Amped up in tha Spirit, and they speak out about serious, crucial urban issues of human want and social justice, and mankind’s need for Redemption.Through these artist-souljahz, God invites katz who ain’t followers of His Son Jesus Christ, to jump in an’ become Jesus’ followers, to be His peeps-- “Christ-Ones”--the Real Body of Christ.
