About Me

Okay, here goes...I'm 46 years young ("I'm much too young to be this damn old") and I'm happily married to my wonderful husband of 20 years now (wow!), Bill, and I'm the very proud and loving mom of two gorgeous young ladies -- Becca (18) and Sarah (15). I have 5 pets right now: Max, my pot-bellied (partially paralyzed but fully lovable) dachschund, Mabel the Wonder Dog (a dalmation-mix, rescue miracle) and 3 cats -- Sasha, Toby & Smokey. All in all I guess I'm a pretty happy person. I love my family, I love my friends, I love my home, I love my job, and I'm doing stuff that makes me happy: hanging out with my family and "peeps" (tee hee!), theatre and music. The long & short of it all is that I'm in the midst of doing stuff that makes me happy -- so how can you beat that?Other than being uber-involved in all things theatrical, I'm a member of the groovin' Atomic Horns Rock & Soul, Rhythm & Blues Band (www.atomichorns.com and myspace.com/atomichornsband). I'm originally from Madison, Wisconsin but now live in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. The mountains here are gorgeous and we have a huge deck with a tiki bar -- ah yes, life is good with a tiki bar! I'm a 1980's alum of the University of Wisconsin Marching Band (Eat A Rock!) where I played trumpet then went on to being a Field Assistant from 2000-2005 (don't ask me the nickname they gave me -- well, you can ask but I won't print it here...) I graduated from Edgewood College in Madison with a degree in Music and Theatre Production & Design. Thus, the circle is complete -- leading again back to music and theatre...I'm super excited that my 2 brothers have recently moved to the area!! My sister lives in Arkansas now, but it's closer than having us all spread out across the country. My brother Dan is on MySpace -- check him out ladies -- he's single and a real catch -- he'll treat you better than you've ever been treated in your life -- he's wonderful and funny and talented and an all around great guy. My brother Jim defended our great country in Iraq and thank God made it home safely and married one of my best friends (yay!). My sister needs a husband, so any single guys out there...Okay, I've rambled -- I'm good at that. Enjoy life and live it to the fullest!

My Interests

Spending time with my family & pets is #1. Music, theatre, musical theatre, designing, crafts, stuff... I do a lot of acting (check out my pix - most of those are costumes & stage make-up -- NOT my everyday look!), and I design sound for a bunch of shows in the area. I'm in a band with my husband & friends: The Atomic Horns -- a really cool Rock & Soul, Rhythm & Blues band with that wicked horn-band sound. Mostly, though, I watch my girls grow up and tell them both how much I love them -- they're the whole world to me!! And of course I have the best husband, Bill -- the best in the whole world! And we have three cats: Sasha, Toby & Smokey, and two dogs: Mabel the Wonder Dog and Max, the Potbellied Dachshund (who helps me run my lines).

I'd like to meet:

Elvis -- The King, Baby! William Shatner, Will Ferrell, Zach Braff, Rob "The Todd" Maschio, Nathan Lane, Matthew Broderick, Mel Brooks -- comic geniuses! More serious people too, but I'll get to all that at another time...

Music:

It's probably easier to ask what kind of music I DON'T like! I love: Big Band music, classical music, some country, some pop, the "oldies" (70's & 80's before they were old), R&B Music, showtunes, Elvis, Harry Connick, Jr., Canadian Brass, Blues Brothers -- all sorts of stuff!

Movies:

I love: "The Producers" -- "Moulin Rouge" -- "RENT" -- "Team America" -- "Trading Places" -- "Major League" -- "My Cousin Vinnie" -- "Major Payne" -- "Return of the Jedi" -- and others from which I can recite almost all of the lines! Oh yeah, and "Air Marshal" -- one of the worst movies I think I've ever seen. My brother said it was a big hit when he was stationed in Iraq because IT'S SO BAD! If I ever teach a class on acting, that will be the movie I show in class -- to teach them how NOT to act!!!!

Television:

Scrubs, Boston Legal, Pushing Daisies, Will & Grace, My Name is Earl, SNL (yeah, the older ones are better...), the various "Judge" shows, and reruns of Spin City ,M*A*S*H & Quantum Leap.

Books:

"Birth of an Ant" -- written by my Dad, James Wolfgram! "The Cripple of Inishmann", and I'm in the midst of reading Anthony Rapp's "Without You".

Heroes:

My parents -- they gave encouragement to do what I wanted in life. My husband & kids -- they're amazing and "put up with me" and always bring me up when I'm down. My brother, Dan -- he loves fully and is willing to take that leap of faith that we all need to do every once in awhile, and he can always, ALWAYS make you laugh when you're low. My brother, Jim -- drives over 1200 miles roundtrip every few weeks to visit for a few hours with his daughters -- THAT'S love. Max, Mabel, Toby, Sasha & Smokey (my dogs & cats) -- they love me unconditionally. Who could ask for any more than that?!?
