About Me

After going through a pile of my little kid pictures, my friend Cheryl noticed that in several of them, the more I tried to look pretty, the more retarded i appeared to be. So, she nicked a few of the really good ones and made a 'best of' collage on her wall but saved the one of me in a foam wonder woman flame headdress, cross-eyed in pink overalls, to be made into a shirt for me. That is my favorite shirt...

My Interests

Currently planning my next adventure abroad... But in between finding a job and a home in a faraway land, I spend most of my time being leisurely cruisering around good ol Santa Barbarito - or up in Mammoth. I keep threatening to move up to the mountains, but can't... seem... to leave... Santa Barbara... Can be regularly spotted running, secretly doing yoga in airports, hacking away at tennis, road biking, hiking, camping, scuba diving, anything at the beach... or anything active and outdoors for that matter. Costume closet is overflowing. I love my crazy friends, my sane friends, road trips, a good bottle of cab and a rare filet mignon. I love girls night out, girls night in, lots of salt on my food and thinking I have a great English accent when I've had too much to drink. And I don't like cheese or loud gum chewing or people being stingy.

I'd like to meet:

Anyone who can make me see things differently.

Music:

DMB, coldplay, radiohead, wilco, chili peppers, bon jovi, GNR, jamiroquai, morcheeba, beatles, pearl jam, postal service, U2, REM, audioslave, death cab, matt costa, mason jennings, big head todd, shins, pink floyd, pete yorn, elliot smith, elton john, bright eyes, funky meters, modest mouse, damien rice, flaming lips, G-love, velvet revolver, uncle tupelo and of course, madonna. Will be rocking out at any of the above concerts - especially if they're at the SB Bowl.

Movies:

old school, blades of glory, wedding crashers, anchorman, zoolander, super troopers, anything with the griswalds, airplane... BLAH BLAH escape escape... they're all the same and really funny and good for quoting at parties... But really though - then there's the good ones that make you reevaluate who you are and why you accept the givens.

Television:

Not so much. HBO series', Daily Show, History and Discovery Channel.

Books:

as many lonely planets as possible... other than that I mostly only read fascinating PoliSci books with mass appeal like "after hegemony" or "strategies of containment"... book club anyone?

Heroes:

my mommy and daddy.
