WHAT THEY SAY.......this is reproduced from a blog entry by 'Nya Shelley':I played Restless Dreams in front of an audience for the first time last Tuesday, at Nigel's acoustic sessions at the Millstone Inn, Barnack. I was unsure what I thought of the song, but I was encouraged by the very lovely comments I got from people there. I also tested out my rendition of Cello Song... It went pretty well, I think. The whole evening was really enjoyable - I was refreshed to go to a place where people seem to actually go to share music - and who are genuinely interested in what everyone else is doing, not just in themselves.... I heard some fantastic music there, and left feeling really good about everything. I hope that Nigel knows what a worthwhile thing he's doing in taking on the running of it - it's places like that which really make a difference and remind me why I love music so much in the first place. It's so easy to get discouraged sometimes, so it's lovely to have the balance re-dressed as well.

My Interests

THE FORMAT: Totally acoustic, any style,any instrument,any level. Come along & have a go. Hey...if I can do it!........ Headline artists get approx half an hour. Depending on numbers arriving other performers would expect to get at least 3 songs..... doors open 07.30pm, under way at 08.00, headline act at approx 09.00 followed by a short interval & then a second round until finish at 11.00

WHERE TO FIND US:From the EAST: Either via A47 or A16 join A15.Just North of Peterborough turn off the A15 Glinton bypass onto B1443 signposted Helpston/Etton/Burghley House.Continue through the villages of Helpston & Bainton on towards Barnack. In Barnack village take the second left Jack Haws Lane. Turn right onto Main Street & then left onto Millstone Lane. The Millstone Inn is on the right & the venue is in the Millstone suite at the rear of the pub................From the NORTH/SOUTH:Leave the A1 at roundabout sign posted B1081 Stamford. Drive into Stamford & just after the Bull & Swan public house on the right turn right onto B1443 Barnack Road. Continue out of Stamford past Burghley House on your right,through the village of Pilsgate & into Barnack. Take the second right Jack Haws Lane. Turn right onto Main Street & then left onto Millstone Lane. The Millstone Inn is on the right & the venue is in the Millstone suite at the rear of the pub.Nearest TRAIN STATIONS: Stamford approx.5 miles.....Peterborough approx.12 miles.....
