Is that Freedom Rock, man? Yeah man. Well turn it up, man!

About Me

I'd tell you more if you didn't want to know so much.

Watch this and laugh. It's like, 10 seconds long. You don't have an extra 10 seconds laying around?:

My Interests

Cooking, my iPod, exercise (the gym, hiking, etc), kids, the interwebz, Adam Carolla on morning radio, txt msging until my thumbz fall off

I absolutely love this picture. Hahaa. Chris Rock is awesome.

I'd like to meet:

Not so much: Scenesters, fakes, smokers/drunks/drug users, martyrs, trust fund kids

Yes, please: My future husband and our future kids, honest people with good intentions, and this guy:

Music:

Love: Cheap Trick, Weezer, Foo Fighters (only the first 3 albums, now they suck), Sugarcult, Nirvana, Pete Yorn, Hanson, No Doubt, Gwen Stefani (the 1st solo album), Coldplay, Ramones, Steel Panther (formerly Metal Skool and before that, Metal Shop...Mondays at the Key Club...I've been a fan since the Viper Room when they were still called Metal Shop), jazz on a Sunday when I'm cooking, classical music when I'm working, a lot of 1 hit wonders on my iTunes.

Guilty pleasures:

A lot of hip hop/rap (I am fascinated with how rappers use samples from other songs...some of it is really creative)

Hairbands (Crue, Warrant, Def Leppard, anything like that), Headbanger's Ball, RIP Magazine, Metal Edge, etc.

...I can listen to pretty much everything except country music sung with a really strong Southern twang, salsa, death metal, and reggae. One thing's for sure - my taste tends to be fairly mainstream, so my "cool L.A. scenester/I only listen to stuff nobody's heard of" membership card must've gotten lost in the mail years ago!

Movies:

Shoot me if I have to read one more person who says "films" instead of "movies." Come on now. Really? My favorite movies might not be classics, but I find myself watching them on a regular basis. You'll notice that music figures in heavily with most of them, and my siblings and I quote many of them, much to the annoyance of anyone around us:

The School of Rock, Swingers, Moulin Rouge, Almost Famous, Josie and the Pussycats, The Wedding Singer, Spinal Tap, Valley Girl, Kindergarten Cop, Happy Gilmore, Charlie's Angels, Uncle Buck, Heathers, Parenthood, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Summer School, Biloxi Blues, Adventures in Babysitting, The Three Amigos, The 'Burbs, Tommy Boy, Road Trip, The Sound of Music, License to Drive, Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead.

Television:

Three's Company, Moonlighting, Friends, Blind Date, the first 2 seasons of the OC, Curb Your Enthusiasm

I've noticed a curious thing on Myspace...people who claim to not own a TV or watch TV because it's evil...but then they have 20 favorite movies listed. Huh? What, you think product placement doesn't exist in movies, morons? You know they show Pepsi commercials in theaters before the movies now, right?

I used to love Letterman on NBC before he sold out and got sucky. I lived for stuff like this:

Books:

Anything funny, insightful and helpful (but NOT self-help books) or suspenseful is always good.

Heroes:

My parents.

My Blog

I know someone who wrote a book - updated

I just found out today that my friend Deanna (girlfriend of my brother from another mother, Matt) wrote a book of poetry! How cool is this?!You can find it at Barnes and Noble!...
