Hey! Who's that new chanteuse on the block?
Karissa Noel, that's who! She may be short (5'2"), but she sure is
loud (84 dB)! Her mother taught her to sing when she was a mere eight
months old and by the time she was two, she was singing better than
girls twice her age.
Let's face it, folks, she's got The Singing Bug. And who could blame
her? When asked about The Singing Bug, Karissa lights up like a cell
phone at an L.A. movie theater.
"It's all I ever wanted to do," she sings, "I used to carry around
this little cassette player, make up songs off the top of my head and
put on shows in front of the mirror. It was the best audience a girl
could ask for."
While her debut single, "Corrupt" (Epic records), had radio station
phones ringing off the hook and hit Billboard's club and radio play
charts, the album never made it to record store shelves. She is,
however, ecstatic that a remix of the song-which she co-wrote- has
become an underground classic dance track. She recently performed the
song for a crowd of over 4000 fans in NYC.
Her chops are so tasty, that if her voice doesn't move you in even the
most emotionally superficial way, we'll slap ourselves silly... and
let you watch!
In some countries, Noel means "Christmas." In Latin countries, Noel
means "no the." But there's only one country where her name means
"good singing." That country is Earth. Karissa's vocal prowess and
zippity-doo-dah attitude will forever change the way you view
humankind as a species. She's got it all. After one listen, you'll
drop to your knees and thank Mother Nature for giving you the gift of
ears.
No kidding.
