Metaphors; Allegories; Wordplay; Contradictions; Paradigm shifts; Leisure time; Punchlines; Laughing; Peanut-butter and jam sandwiches; Fortune cookies; Modern mythology (it is, of course, very much alive -- pervasive in so many forms -- and often terribly fascinating); Contemplating the universe; The "Golden Section," and its infinite, wondrous applications; The architectural triadic principle of "Utilitas, Firmitas, Venustas" ("Function, Strength, Beauty"), and its very worthy transference as a principle for so many things in life; Aligning mind, body, and spirit (dogmas not included:); Gnosis; Relationship dynamics; The 8th Insight of "Celestine Prophecy"; The engineering, and smile-evoking simplicity of MINI Coopers; Female foreign accents, especially British; Aurora; Moon phases; Tides; Ocean swells; Pressure systems; Fetch and wind direction; Shark repellent research (only for the times that we don't want to see 'em or get chomped by 'em); The fallibility of human beings, especially politicians and talking heads; Dogs' thoughts (most animals' thoughts, really, but especially dogs'); Learning how to sleep like a dolphin (although I'd gladly settle for simply efficient, fully-restorative sleep); Lucid dreaming; ESP and telepathy; Light travel; etc.
Kindred spirits... If you find some "kin" in my "spirit," drop me a line, leave a comment, whatever. You don't have to read my whole long-winded profile... Heck, I didn't -- I just let my "loquacious" fingers "do the walking" and the "talking" on my computer keyboard. I would hope that I can trust them by now:)

I love all kinds of music, with the exception of trite, commercialized pop (which I like to call "Flacid Rock":). But I especially enjoy funky, original stuff with positive and/or fun messages... such as: Sting, The Police, Dave Matthews, DMB, Bob Marley, Ben Harper, Jack Johnson, G. Love, Ben Folds, Minus the Bear, Jimi Hendrix, The Beatles, John Lennon, Bob Dylan, Dan Bern, Black Eyed Peas, Chili Peppers, Pearl Jam, U2 (mostly their old-school stuff, like the "Joshua Tree" album), Coldplay, Marvin Gaye, Ray Charles, Stevie Wonder, Paul Simon, Otis Redding, old-school Al Green, John Coltrane, Lauryn Hill, Sarah McLachlan (Hey, as Tommy Lee said, "Sarah's a rare woman who can move me to tears." And, of course, she's beautiful to the core... so don't give me any grief about her being on my list:). I also love lots of classic Blues, Soul, and Jazz, etc.a href="http://www...

I admire those whom I think genuinely embody such qualities as compassion, honesty, humility, humor, generosity, responsibility, nonviolent perseverance (even, and especially, at risk to their own lives), etc... Those who live their dreams even while pursuing the greatest good (and often also overcoming great odds)... Those who inspire us all to live by "the Golden Rule," and remind us that "we are here to awaken from the illusion of our separateness." Specifically, I admire: Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.; Dalai Lama; Gandhi; Jesus; Buddha;... Sting; Batman; Yoda; etc. :) (Okay, Batman and Yoda have to work at nonviolence, but they still rock:) "He that conquers himself is a far greater hero than he that conquers a thousand times a thousand men."
