To be so sweet was her only mistake
The only flower in a concrete garden
Destined to be the rock that wouldn’t harden
Jackie Cane was everybody’s sugar
She’d melt away if only she could of

    The Fratellis - "Flathead"

    "Stripper" by SoHo Dolls:

    Gwen Stefani vs Madonna:

"Ideas are elusive, slippery things. Best to keep a pad of paper and a pencil at your bedside, so you can stab them during the night before they get away."
    -Earl Nightingale

“The unreal is more powerful than the real, because nothing is as perfect as you can imagine it. because its only intangible ideas, concepts, beliefs, fantasies that last. stone crumbles. wood rots. people, well, they die. but things as fragile as a thought, a dream, a legend, they can go on and on.”
    -Chuck Palahniuk
“We all die. The goal isn't to live forever, the goal is to create something that will.”
    -Chuck Palahniuk

I love art, photography, writing (poetry, short stories, articles, and scripts), literature, learning (dream job: Professional Student), math, science, going out dancing, music, and movies. Most of all, I love to have fun and am pretty easy going - I can have a good time doing pretty much anything.
I love classic cars. I had 3 before my exgirlfriend took back our 1950 Chrysler Windsor. I still have my 1964 bug and a 280Z.

    I'd like to meet:

    Besides Jessica Holter ?

I would like to meet fellow writers who are trying to get published or would like to get published. I would like to meet all artists who are following their dreams, no matter what your art path. I would like to meet fellow art lovers. Art is very important to me, painters, musicians, writers, graphic; any and all types of art.

I'm not a friend collector. My friend count is high because I know a lot of people, I like a lot of bands, enjoy certain magazines, added some tribute pages to a few icons I admire, and threw in some movement profiles.

    Music:

    powered by frazy.com

Rock, rockabilly, Hip-Hop, Reggaeton, jazz, 80's industrial & punk, 90's, electro, classic country, swing, etc....... There's more bands and more "types" I listen to, but it depends on my mood and what I'm doing and also whether or not I just forgot to mention them. I eat, breathe, and live music.

    Movies:

    powered by frazy.com
Kontroll, Head in the Clouds, Maria Full of Grace, Walkout, Rocky Horror Picture Show, Eraserhead, Hardware, Gilda (1946), The Postman Always Rings Twice (1946), Imitation of Life (1934), Two Lane Black Top (1971), Modern Girls (1986), Same Sex America (documentary), Sound and Fury (documentary).
I love horror, and in particular Asian horror. 80's, black and whites (30's - 40's), trashy 50's, anime, documentaries and some docudrama's, foreign, film noir, smart films.

I'm not a huge fan of TV except to watch the movie channels.

    Books:

    powered by frazy.com
Chuck Palahniuk, Jack Kerouac, William S. Burroughs, Franz Kafka, Elizabeth Bishop, Anne Sexton, Albert Einstein, Isaac Asimov.......(forgetting some here).

There's so many authors and books I'm forgetting. I enjoy non-fiction, fiction, "beat", poetry, biographical, science, give it all to me......I love literature....

    Heroes:

You Are a "Don't Tread On Me" Libertarian
You distrust the government, are fiercely independent, and don't belong in either party.
Religion and politics should never mix, in your opinion... and you feel opressed by both.
You don't want the government to cramp your self made style. Or anyone else's for that matter.
You're proud to say that you're pro-choice on absolutely everything! What's Your Political Persuasion?
Fredi Washington, Rosa Parks, for the courage to stand up for what they believed in and say no, and to show us the power of no. Elizabeth Bishop, and Christiane Amanpour, for both being able to express themselves without fear and take us to far away places to see things in a new light. Tori Amos for being so honest and raw. Anne Sexton, how do I even begin to explain how much I admire her and all the reasons why. William S. Burroughs for his love of art and his amazing writing, and Jack Kerouac for experiencing life to its fullest. Zorita for being an openly lesbian burlesque star (and one of the most beautiful ones at that). Robert David Hall, known as Dr. Robbins on CSI, for his activism in hiring actors with disabilities.
There are so many things and people that inspire me and amaze me. I will continue to add to this list.
