About Me

The Prescriptions are the new brain child of three young and thriving musical talents from south Louisiana. Each member has had individual careers performing with several groups in the past, spanning the South and East Coast respectfully, but now feel they've found a new home immersed in this project. In mid-August the band holed up inside Civello Studios, nearly cutting themselves off from all civilization, to write and record the album that will act as their debut. Six months and thirty songs later, the tracks for the CD entitled The Sugar Pill Situation are being finalized. The release is set for the Fall of 2006. All material is brand spanking new and has been written in-studio, so that no older concepts or themes from any previously recorded project would be present. This was a refreshing experience for the power-trio, as their creative output had to be at full capacity. Live performances have already begun in support of the new material, so check our calendar above to see when you can catch the band in action.

"Angels Fall" Premiers

Last night the film "Angels Fall" premiered on Lifetime at 8:00pm CST, in the middle of primetime, with "Where Do You Sleep?" running in the first 20 minutes of the film. Way to go gang.
