Electric Lane (aka Jennifer McConachie) is a Scottish classically trained composer/DJ creating music for contemporary dance theatre, dancefloor, fashion shows, short films & installations.
Known as the long time resident drum & bass dj at Fabric (London) before moving to Berlin for 2 years, where she worked on productions at the Transporterraum studio.
She relocated to Oslo, where she is co-booker at new Oslo club- THE VILLA & hosts weekly wednesday music radio show - `What´s NOT going on in Oslo`
She is resident composer & performer with Paris based choreographer Isira Makuloluwe, with whom she also has a music/dance band project called Pop Tarts. She has also worked with London based choreographers Laurent Cavanna & Mavin Khoo at the Royal Opera House ("DEVI" 2006). Her music will feature in a FORTHCOMING FEATURE FILM about Mavin Khoo.
Her music has been performed at events including London Opera House, Kuopio Dance Festival (Finland), Finnish Opera, Suresnes Cite Dance (Paris), Sadlers Wells Theatre (London), Canada, Geneva Fete de la Musique; London Fashion Week-for designers J. Maskrey & Louis de Gama, Oslo Fashion Week, multi media art shows (Luna Nera), Helden der Arbeit (Berlin) & Podium (Oslo).
