About me it sais... It all began with my parents copulating on a warm summer night in Barcelona. My mother, a hippie barbiedoll from Norway, and my father, a womanizer from hell (with a big... mustash at the time). They got married and separated two times legally and split up and got together (how to say?) in a very much passionate amount of times. From a..erm Fraudian point of view this may explain my extremely fucked up way of dealing with relationships of the opposite sex. I REALLY love drinking beer. More than beer i really love listening to music. More than listenig, I really love playing music for other people. More than just playing music for other people, I really love mixing tunes for a larger amount of people. For me it's the urban way of connecting with Spirit. ARILDO DILDO aka Arild LopezThe name Arildo Dildo has an almost legendary status in Oslo, the city where this hyper-creative eccentric grew up. His name is synonomous with diverse experimental music, openmindedness and a uniquely alternative experience. He has been providing the people of Oslo with an entire techno scene ever since he totally converted to it after experiencing the early acid-house and techno parties at the Blitz and Kampen Verksted -squats in the early nineties. From his background of playing drums in several hardcore punk bands and literally growing up in the middle of his Spanish father's enormous record collection, he began managing his first record store in Oslo when he was only 18. Living as a squatter, he started out organising a series warehouse parties, eventually securing his residencies at the worldrenowned clubs, Jazid and Skansen in 1998. Also a regular radio voice, he built up such a hype that he later became responsible for promoting several club consepts around the city and eventually promoting and booking at the venues Sikamicanico and KillYrEgo. KillYrEgo became the alternative club in Oslo where Arild presented a very diverse musical experience ranging from techno to noise, hip hop, rock and jazz. His success with Sikamikanico and KillYrEgo led to several international dj bookings including renowned clubs such as Tresor and Neue Heimat and he has played alongside luminaries such as Laurent Garnier, Matthew Herbert, Richie Hawtin and Kid 606. He has been playing regurarly at Moog in Barcelona since 1999, and is now even more often to bee seen behind the decks after relocating permanently in 2004. Seemingly born to be a dj, he specialises in a what he describes as futuristic hi-tech funk, but can also be found at residencies in Oslo playing everything from disco to afro-beat, new wave to no wave at all. The larger than life personality, humour & enthusiasm he infuses into his diverse style has made him a much loved and unforgettable dj- and not to forget for his very unconventional promtion-tecniques as posing naked in his kitchen or in a bed of flowers in several interviews, posters and flyers threw the years. His humouristic lyrics and Bee Gees/Prince vocal styling is featured on the latest album from Oslo based electro techno duo Trulz & Robin - "Intersexual"(Planet Noise).
