About Me

Hello, my name is Greg, and I recently celebrated 42 years of life. It's a life that has seen its share of ups and downs, of course, but the truth is that I have been so blessed in numerous ways. I have a home out in the country, and a better-than-decent vehicle to drive; most of my family is still living; I have countless friends, both online and off, as well as a wonderful lady who loves me unconditionally; but, most of all, my work as a musician keeps me occupied a good deal of the time. Since 2001 I have been playing guitar and banjo with a gospel-singing group, and also in a duo with my 24-year-old nephew.

My Interests

Whenever I'm not playing music, or otherwise listening, some of the things I enjoy include reading (usually non-fiction and biography/memoirs), bowling, putt-putt golf, air hockey, ballroom dancing, traveling, flea markets/antique shops, and just wasting time on my computer!

I'd like to meet:

Of course, it never hurts to find new friends with common interests, and I would especially love to make new friends in my various musical travels.

Music:

We all know that Julianne Hough can dance, but did you know she's one killer singer as well? This is her debut music video, "THAT SONG IN MY HEAD." Perhaps my favorite song of all time, "TAKE ME HOME, COUNTRY ROADS" by John Denver; here it serves as the aural backdrop for the awesome outdoor scenes in this photo slideshow!
"SADIE'S GOT HER NEW DRESS ON" by Doyle Lawson and Quicksilver "WHO'S GOING WITH ME" by Randy Kohrs

Movies:

TITANIC; O BROTHER, WHERE ART THOU?; SMOKEY AND THE BANDIT; SHALL WE DANCE?; BALLAD OF A GUNFIGHTER

Television:

"You met another and PFFFTTT!!! You Were Gone!" (Be sure and turn your sound up for this one.) DANCING WITH THE STARS; THE DUKES OF HAZZARD; HEE HAW; GREEN ACRES; THE GOODIES (1970's British comedy); AMERICA'S MOST TALENTED KIDS (Hope they bring that one back someday)
