can i ride with you, until the sunset gets all red? and we'll be chased by the moon!

About Me

a long time ago in a distant land a shimmering pair of scissors were formed. the blades each were forged with the essence of the sun and moon. one blade resplendant and auric, the other cool and alabaster. the joint would whistle a song of passing as the blades opened and closed. the handles were carved of deep ebony and set with gems and silver.

these scissors were thrust deep into an ancient rock. tempered into place where it was long forgotten and overgrown with plants and insects. for it was said that only one could come across and pry the scissors loose for his or her desires.

some would suggest this is merely a dream, but i weild these scissors with triumphant dedication! and with them, me and my left hand will carve a new world.

My Interests

the alluring look from a girl in the moonlight.
the crack of a opened bottle or can, suggesting artifice.
the creak of a floorboard, worn from walking.
the tingle of sensation that comes only in winter to delight your nose hairs.
the first move of chess.
the scatter and spinning of a bicycle racing down the street.
the green buds from branches extending towards the sun.
the dark augustal clouds ripe and pregnant with rain.

I'd like to meet:

i'd like to meet friends who are trusting of each other.

Music:

the music i err too can range from subtle and soothing, to abrasive and garish. it's not integral to my life as it is for others, but a solid song can temper a mood quite readily. any thing that pops up in my profile song can be assumed to be preffered by me. right now it's a classic, led zeppelin. doesn't this song just make you want to dance around a fire?
***please! suggest music to me which you think i might enjoy!*** but more importantly, tell me why you think i might enjoy such music by what you enjoy about it.

Movies:

damn, stupid favorites lists. um, i really like movies, and will happily see one anytime avaliable. there are plenty of good ones, ask me for recommendations. i'd ask you give me a list of movies you like so i can better aim to your desire. also, if you and i go to a theater: we stay until the credits are done! none of that pre-emptive standing, you wait. if you have to pee you can hold it two more minutes. 'sides, i like seeing if robert 'bobby z' zajonc is yet again the helicopter pilot.
Internet if you aren't using firefox , you should be ashamed! you can really do some wonderful things with it. two of my favorites are stumble upon and bork bork bork! endless amusement is best! let me know if you find a sweet extension that i would enjoy.

Books:

if you want a list of my favorite authors, authors who i think hold true to their form and write in a style i enjoy, i can rattle them off.

haruki murakami - fantastical, erotic, and all out of the everyday kurt vonnegut - really, how can he not be on a list? richard dawkins - the man clearly, is a genius. michael pollan - i've been itching to read his latest, the omnivore's dillemai currently am reading way too many books, all started, none that far in. i should pick .. it and move on. _notable history of some? henry morgan -the king of pirates sir francis drake -the gentleman pirate bartholomew roberts -the dread pirate roberts? mary read and anne bonney -the lady pirates to calico jack rakham william kidd -a most tragic and misunderstood tale ching shih - the queen of pirates and my favorite, possibly the most infamous: edward teach -blackbeard

Heroes:

fellow dreamers, though i admire the doers.
