The Nap Coalition

About Me

you don't have to do anything to join this coalition. this may be the most relaxing form of activism in all of the land. what is it? why, a nap coalition of course! let us count the sheeps. sunday afternoons sheep. drizzly rain outside sheep. fireplace sheep. oh goodness, sheep-sleep in the park. guilty at the desk when the boss ain't looking. or, napping can be a way of cuddling someone(s). it can be an accessway into dreaming, among the most sublime of experiences. and also, ritual: tucking in, science of spooning, art of storytime. murakami said that writers are those who dream awake. well, his books sure can put a girl (or boy, or sheep) in one soporific state. sip chamomile. re-embrace hammocks or, if you're lost in a city, rooftops ... even stoops.

as a part of the nap coalition, you can share your experiences here. you won't ever be told here, hey, get back to work. or hey, why do you sleep so much? a part of loving each other is knowing when to just shut up and cuddle.
we have many projects in the pipes--dream database, a petition for national naptime, spooning seminars, stickers and jammies, project 20-hr work week, street mattress salvaging workshops, commercial napperies,, (like coffee shops but with naps instead of coffee), a nap anecdote anthology, nappa valleys (group naps... in valleys!), a virtual napping photo gallery, nap-ins, and even lethargy bars (like energy bars, but with robitussum,,). join our friends list to receive inaction alerts, and send us napping pics so that we can make you the sleeping face of the coalition, on a rotating basis. all y'all sleepers will have your fifteen minutes of, er, shuteye.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

we ain't no notch on your bedpost. send a request if you really want to be our friend. or, if you're trying to infiltrate from the inside. active participation is key... wait... ok, you know what we mean.
