"Cowboy-hat-abusing super-groovers from the sweltering chicken-wire dives of Baton Rouge, Louisiana who roll out a jukebox full of smooth-sipping trucker punk with glam-slamming choruses and ZZ-Top-ish chuggernaut guitars. All the songs appear to be about driving drunk and punching people in the mouth. Awesome." Classic Rock Magazine
"These New Orleans brawlers mix up a very tasty cocktail of Detroit riff rock and Supersuckers style thrillbilly-punk, blasted out through a tower of arena-shaking ampage and a decidedly Kiss-like stackheel slink. They’ve got the same true-blue spark that Joker Five Speed had and the Sex Slaves still do, an authentic hunger to climb to the top of the big rock candy mountain and piss on the heads of their detractors, and they’ve got the songs, and the guitars, to pull it off. Killer stuff, well worth seeking out." Sleazegrinder.com
As indie rock gets wimpier and wimpier, I’m thankful for sleazebags like The Way*High Men for reminding me that rock is supposed to be dirty, is supposed to inspire impure thought and deed. The band muscles through the kind of Thin Lizzy riffery everyone needs in their life, whether they admit it or not. Leather pants and a supped-up Camaro are not a necessity for listening to this music, but they couldn’t hurt. Alex V. Cooke, 225 Magazine
