About Me
Lead singer and songwriter for the Industrial/Metal Beast known as BILE. I created it. It's all my fault! (ha ha!)
Born and bread on Long Island, NY just outside NYC.
My experiences have been vast.
too many to recount or remember, but heres a cpl.,
I was in a signed band and touring Europe at age 18. The band 'Napalm' I was in (SPV/Steamhammer) was the first American metal band to play in East Germany. Chopped off my own piece of the Berlin Wall.
After that band I joined up with ex-members of the Cro-Mags, Murphys Law and Overkill. Got to jam with James Hetfield, my teenage hero, a few times.
Got bored with that band, and playing with all bands. So I created the Anti-band.
I wanted to make the heaviest, most modern music, with the craziest stage show in NYC. I DID! The band designed to go down in flames. It was truly a social experiment that went horribly wrong in just the right way. Just how I feel comfortable.
Gathered up the local weirdo's and strangers and started a troupe. I say troupe cause there really wasn't a real musician out of the lot. I wouldn't allow it. NO GOOD PLAYERS. That was my mantra. The best player we had was Bear, but we had him playing keys and he really, really sucks on keyboards. He admits it. Funny he beat out the keyboard player from Dream Theater in a magazine poll. That was a good laugh.
BILE got lotsa press, mainly for our antics at events and backstages.
We were as much of a track act back then as our friends "The Village People". They gave us advice on how best to play a great sounding show with no work involved. Put everything on tape. But when you have 11 members, looking like terrorists, strippers, post-nuclear black-light underground night dwellers all flailing about the stage in their own little BILE fantasy worlds, who cares who's playing what. IT FUCKIN LOOKED GREAT!! I don't know if we ever even rehearsed back then. Why would we when it was all fake. But unexpectedly BILE got signed in 1994 and started becoming known for my recordings. Only the people in the NYC area got a glimpse of the BILE stage show experience. It's impossible to tour with 11 people crammed in a van. I know I've tried. So I and R.H. Bear actually put a real live act together. We have been touring pretty steady since 1996. Some big tours, some headline, some as support, but either way there were many nights the clubs were sold to capacity.I've been in BillBoard, Rolling Stone, Kerrang, People, Metal Maniacs, Electronic Musician, Metal Hammer, Newsday, New York Post, New York Times, High Times, Lotsa tattoo publications. etc. etc. blah blah
Wrote music for Sepeltura. Played keys and synths on the first Ill Nino 'Revelution/Revelucion'. And of course I wrote "King of Negativity" that ended up on a PIgface CD and has become a staple of the Pigface live show. I've played 3 tours as guitarist and singer for PiGfaCe.
Yes, I been around the block more than a cpl times. Toured extensively. I've seen and done more than I would have ever imagined. There's been alot of humans that have spun in the revolving door known as the BILE organization (or lack thereof). I want to thank you all. We were part of something bigger than all of us. That happens once in a lifetime, if your lucky. The legend of BILE is known world-wide. You are BILE alumni. Be proud. And the few that didn't make it this far, We are gonna fuck shit up in the afterlife. R.I.P. See ya soon.I have mutated BILE again. So expect all new.THE BILEwww.TEKNOWHORE.com
